This sterling bracelet features a rare Cerrillos mine stone of considerable age, tastefully set in a deep flat bezel and flanked by hammered raindrops. The stone is set on a hand stamped applique that was done with great attention to detail. Even though the applique and stone setting are outstanding, the part of the bracelet that impresses me most is the stamping on the sides–each “tick” in the pattern was hand done, one at a time, with a chisel and the artisan did an amazing job keeping the pattern in line. The shank is beautifully chisel split. The piece is scratch hallmarked and is hard to decipher, but it looks like OL/A–very primitive, again speaking to the age of the piece. The applique measures 1 7/8″ wide and .75″ tall, stone measures 7/16″ by .25″, bracelet is 5.25″ around the inside plus a 1.25″ gap and weighs 21 grams. This highly collectable bracelet is in excellent condition and covered with warm age patina. Due to the applique on this bracelet, it is not adjustable for size.
