Hallmarked by unknown Hopi artisan VBN, this figure stands 4.25” tall, the base measures 2” across and it weighs 3.5 ounces. This depiction of a Corn Dancer is covered in detailed stamping, was constructed with great attention to detail and is about as rare as Kachinas come; Kachina dolls are traditionally made from Cottonwood, and I’ve even seen a few that were clay, but three-dimensional sterling statues are hard to come by. I’ve found some contemporary ones that range in price from $2500 to $20,000, but vintage examples are illusive. This one-of-a-kind figure is covered in warm age patina and is in exceptional condition. We encourage interested parties to contact us for additional images.
