1900-1920 Navajo Pawn Sterling and Turquoise Necklace

From Gallup, New Mexico this outstanding example of early Navajo craftsmanship is handcrafted from stem to stern. I can comfortably say there’s not another one on the planet. The sandcast naja measures 2.75” by 2.25” not counting the bail and it’s just shy of 1/8” thick. The stone measures 5/8” by 7/16” at the widest points. The 12 round beads are 3/8” in diameter and the 6 cone beads are 2.25” long and .5” wide at the centers. The total length of the beads is 24” not counting the naja and they’ve been re-strung on chain, which also appears to be quite old. It weighs 84 grams and the condition is fantastic. The scalloped bezel set Bisbee mine stone has a tiny hairline crack but is 100% secure in the setting.
This is truly a museum quality Native American Treasure. The images are larger in the video.
