This 4 color scarf from the 1940s, or possibly older, is in perfect condition—no stains or damage. It measures 22” square, is highly detailed and suitable for framing. The imagery is a lot of fun and features dozens, if not 100 or more, western motifs, from Bronc Riders, to pack mules, to Tipis on the planes, branding irons and all the trapping of the old west. The map sections are labeled with the major cities of the western United States and the artisan that created the scarf was an expert at working with stencils on silk, which I’m certain is no small task. In my research I found many western silk scarves, but none had anywhere near the detail this scarf features. Highly collectible and “Made in the USA.” I didn’t iron it for fear of causing damage—I’ll leave that to the buyer.
