Circa 1930s / 1940s, this outstanding ingot silver bookmark is completely handcrafted, beautifully designed and in fantastic condition. Stamped sterling and weighing 8 grams, the stamping varies considerably with the swirling sun stamp on the very tip going off the edges. There is a page gripper stamp on the back of the clip—very well thought out design. The turquoise accent on the thunderbird appears to be from the Cerrillos mine, measures 3/16” across and is set in flat bezel. The bookmark measures 3.5” long by .75” wide, and is covered in heavy age patina. This is an outstanding Old Pawn, Fred Harvey Era, handcrafted Navajo piece of considerable rarity.
