The Wyandotte Flash Strat-O-Wagon No. 261 was produced from 1941 to July 1942 and from July 1945 to 1953. This Blue Ribbon winning Wyandotte pressed steel wagon toy took it’s category at the 2010 New Mexico State Fair. I’ve seen red ones often but the blue ones are somewhat rarer. The wooden wheels show little to no usage wear so the toy wasn’t played with a lot–no dents or dings to speak of. The wear you see is from not storing it correctly for 70+ years. This toy is not from New Mexico, is from somewhere with a more humid climate, or the minimal rust would not be present. The wagon measures 6″ long (not counting the handle), 2 15/16″ wide and 1.75″ tall. The Wyandotte logo is crisp and clean as are the litho graphics. This would make a welcome addition to any vintage toy collection. And of course, the Blue Ribbon is included.
