This Vintage Navajo sterling overlay ring is designed specifically as a pinky ring; the overlay pattern will not be visible should the ring be worn elsewhere. Lots of attention to detail; the sterling overlay is ornate and exacting, the thick sterling cast shank was beautifully crafted and the addition of the “soft triangular” Castle Dome Mine turquoise stone really tops off the design with great style. The stone is an outstanding example of the mine, with subtle color changes throughout the intensely sky blue stone. The stone measures 7/8” by 3/8” and is set in deep flat bezel 1/8” deep. The ring face measures 1 1/8” by 7/8” and the single cast shank is a sturdy .25” wide. The ring is a size 5.75 and weighs 15 grams. This beautiful, striking design is eye-catching, the construction is superior and the ring was made to last a lifetime. Hallmark is unidentified and appears to be an ear of corn or a hand holding a tool. The ring has been recently polished with patina remaining in the recesses of the overlay.
