This terrific old Navajo Cerrillos stone ring is large format, measuring 1.5″ by 1 1/16″ with a stone measurement of 1 1/16″ by ¾”. The scalloped bezels are hand cut and are of a fairly primitive nature. The crescent elements vary in size and shape ever so slightly as do the 4 raindrop elements. Nice thick, double chisel split shank attached firmly to the face plate. The Cerrillos mine turquoise stone is an impressive example of the source. The ring is a size 7.75 and weighs 13 grams. If you’ll notice the backing plate was cut to accommodate the raindrops–great attention to detail there. The ring has been recently polished, there is no artisan hallmark and it’s in superb condition.
