This old handcrafted Navajo turquoise ring is nothing if not sturdy; the face plate is a full .25” thick, the double chisel split shank is made of thick half-round wire and the tines are solidly attached to the backing plate. The splits on the shank vary in width and depth and the chisel work on the face of the ring is irregular, both speaking to its handcrafted nature. There’s no artisan hallmark on this fantastic ring which features a teardrop shaped Blue Diamond mine stone with light matrix. The stone is set in flat bezel and accented with coiled wire, nestled deep inside the thick recesses of the ring face and topped off with 3 raindrops separating the thick, chiseled panels. The ring is a size 7.25, weighs 11 grams and is in excellent condition. Tests positive for sterling.
