A much smaller version of this painting was once offered by a print distributor here in Albuquerque. The prints were from an unlimited run, unsigned, mounted in inexpensive frames, about half the size, and went for close to $400. This print is hand numbered, signed and dated in pencil and is from a limited run of 100. I had this piece appraised and the frame alone was priced at $250. Wasfile’s approach to watercolor featuring Southwestern themes is unusual, sparse and his control of the medium is outstanding. His color pallet for this piece, done exclusively in earth tones on light beige paper, is indicative of his style as he often portrays Southwestern themes in the predominant colors of the region. The image area is 23″ by 11.25″ and the frame measures 29″ by 16.5″ and features a fillet (wooden strip) around the inside of the frame, accenting the beige cloth. This makes for a very professional looking frame and is often used when fine art is involved. There are 2 very small dings on the frame. This is a great piece for the Southwestern enthusiast in excellent condition.Due to the size and weight of this item, our Free Shipping offer is not in place.
